This weeks Color Challenge is an ocean full of hues. Stef (dahlia19) issued the challenge to use Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, and Lemon Lime Twist. I couldn't resist trying to coax these colors out of my set of Brushos! It was fun moving the puddles of water from side to side to get the dreamy underwater scene. I hope the small liberty I took with my crashing ocean waves behind my 'fella', will be seen as artistic license! I used a Crafter's Warehouse Wave Stencil.
My searching for love 'fella' is looking far and wide for the calling of his heart. Little does he know below the surface, waiting, is the someone he is searching for. My mermaid is from an Oxford Impressions set: 'Mystical Mermaids' as are some of the marine animals. I used another OI set: 'The Deep' as well.
Over in the Ways to Use It, Toni has us using 6's on our cards. Well, I've got 6 gifts from the sea, the Blue whale, a lemon lime seahorse, and two different fish, one gigantic transport horse fish, and the mermaid. I also used 6 gold staples and 6 blue staples. Come on 6's was a fun challenge!
Thanks for stopping by...I appreciate your comments so very much. Have a wonderfully creative day~o.

Susan, this is funky fantasy at its best! Marvelous water, waves and creatures. I love your mermaid and seafaring love fella. Beautiful blending with the Brushos, I want to be like you when I grow up!!!

Cool! I love the sense of depths in the ocean there with the whale down deep...I love those interesting stamp images but I can never think how to use them! You have a much better imagination than me!

Amazing work with those brushos....A+! And I love your mix of quirky images...the steampunk guy on a giant fish..who would have thought he was looking for love. And the giant golden waves high above the frothy mist of the turquoise sea...beautiful! Fantastic glimpse of the undersea world...do I spot the Edmund Fitzgerald?..OH no it was just wishful thinking on my part..

This is an absolute hoot! I love your seahorse fella and all the other gifts from the sea. The water looks real, brilliant Brusho work my friend. Love this to bits.

Your fantastical ocean scene is simply magical Susan! So much fun with the steam pink fella and pretty mermaid, plus the brusho ocean and giant golden waves are just beautiful!

Absolutely fabulous work of art. Everyone has pointed out all the things you did that make it great. I put it in my favorites immediately. I must confess to 'steampunk collage jealousy' -I love the style but don't have the genius to carry it out.
