Stef is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us three lovely colors, Balmy Blue, Night of Navy, and Lemon Lime Twist. I have added a fourth color, Mossy Meadow, which is on the SU neutrals list. The dessert option this week is to create an ocean scene or something masculine.
I decided to make a masculine birthday card this week; I pulled out a Concord & 9th Turnabout stamp set and dies. I am always so tickled at how they turn out! This time I used the patterned design for my balloon, adding the little balloon stem and some twine.
I dry embossed the Night of Navy layer with a textured embossing folder, and added some white Nuvo drops. Popped up the happy birthday banner with the balloon string behind it, and mounted all on a white card base.
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week.

What a fun and very creative card Barbara!! I like how you added the neutral mossy meadow. I like all the birthday celebration items such as the ice cream cones. :>)

This is a great masculine birthday card that would work for so many ages. You have such great details like the dots, Baker's Twine and stitching which pull together perfectly in this card.
