Nicky made a card with two panels of cardstock that fold up like you're closing a packing box. There are instructions and measurements on her blog for an A2 card, and in my video for a 4.25 square card.
I focused on Nicky's:
-fun fold
-floral theme
I changed:
-square card with rounded corners
-sentiment on inside only
-'scene' built across all 4 flaps
I started by building the card. I cut two strips of 80lb cardstock to 4.25x8.5 inches. I scored all 4 ends at 2 1/8 inch.
Then I laid one on top, perpendicular to the other. I trimmed the 'inside' one a bit so it would close better and glued them together. I rounded the corners with an old corner-rounder punch to make the folding a little easier.
Then I simply decorated the box using Altenew's Rennie Roses, Copic colouring, Catherine Pooler ink and some of the new Avery Elle Shimmer Spray!
