Pelicans are my favorite animal!! I love all animals, but I collect pelican statues, pictures, rubber stamps - I try to find anything that looks realistic with a pelican - I even found a T-shirt that has one embroidered on it with realistic colors. And I got to feed a pelican a fish once!
We have some Brown Pelicans around here - wish there were more! And the Pelicans love to fish for food on rainy days.

Love, love this. I've seen pelicans in ponds and lakes but I'd love to see them flying. I like your wavy sea and stormy looking sky. Shame that I always make sure people don't send to the same person twice in a row, because I'd be very happy to have received this .

It's been interesting to see everyone's animal....I would never have thought that pelicans would show up in the gallery....this is really cool. Your pelican standing on the post is terrific! It looks like a storm is rolling in....Great card Janet!

Both white and brown pelicans are quite common in and around most of Oregon (depending on the season) and they are always a joy to see. Your little dude looks like he's about ready to dive off the pier and find dinner! So cute!

This is such a fun card. I love the expectant look on this pelican's face as he is anticipating a wonderful "buffet" coming his way as the storm is rolling in. This is wonderfully done and was a lot of fun to read about too! ~Karen.
