Tough challenge today. I'm much more of a positive person myself. LOL.
After some thought, I decided that this stamp set that has had me stumped for some time now was a good negative focus. I also decided to make a bold alcohol ink background to also focus a bit on the negative. I made the background and then used my Alcohol Lift Ink to pick up the alcohol ink on the shell stamp and stamp it on some white paper. Then I simply layered onto some torn sandpaper to keep the beach theme flowing. I probably didn't need the doodled border, but you know how I can never resist. Finally, it needed that one last thing and I decided to go with white Enamel Accents and I can't decide if they represent pearls or bubbles.

How smart of you to think of this stamp set, that does indeed use the negative! the alcohol ink bg is gorgeous. Our Erin has moved to Wells, ME, near the beach. Can you think of a better place to visit???

Your lovely card has me yearning for the ocean, Jen! Beautiful bg and the lift off ink is so pretty for the shells. Marvelous use of the negative space! Thanks for playing in my challenge and treating us to your card.

Oh Jen - I love the contrast of the sandpaper and the wonderful Yupo piece. I still haven't liked any of my attempts with Lift Ink. I sent one as a sympathy card but didn't even upload it. All the others, I've wiped off and started again. Thanks for inspiring me to give it another go.
