What can I say? My pet sympathy cards are very popular. A coworker just asked if I could make one for her friend and this was a nice sketch for it. I saw the circle as a good excuse to do some Double Masking because I love that technique. I printed the Tiddly Inks dog and sponged a cloudy sky in the circle behind him. I had to go back in and sponge over the clouds lightly to get the circle to really show. I also wanted to do TLC88 which was âLetter Backgroundsâ. It was simply stamping sentiments repeatedly. I used âForever In Our Heartsâ from the Verve set in black on white. Then I found this scrap of black and white paw print DP. And decided to leave the dog uncolored except for a bit on his collar and tag. I pulled in the blue of the sky with a little tag that says âloveâ. And then I realized that you couldnât possible tell what that background sentiment said. So I stamped it one more time and trimmed it down to just stick it over the paw print DP in one spot. Sure that might be a little rogue on the sketch but it had to be done!
