I made this card for hostess Sandy's Teapot Challenge: What's Your Animal? One of my favorite animals, besides my dogs, is the Panda.
I love pandas and I especially love this image with a mama hugging her baby! Baby animals are always so cute and when you add a mama...it creates such a loving feeling!
I embossed green background with bamboo ef. I stamped and fussy cut Panda image. The Chinese letter stands for "Good Luck" (at least that's what the stamp package said). I layered with black and leaf dp. tfl

What a beautifully composed card. I love how all the elements go together, with the bamboo embossing, the leafy background, the pandas and the lettering. (I'm with you, I'm always kind of leery someone chose the symbol because it looked good, not because it was what they wanted it to say). That bit of red is the perfect accent.

Peeked at these last night before bed. I like pandas too, never been lucky enough to see one in real life yet (only the red ones, which I love too). The soft embossed bamboo background is great and the little ribbon and kanji detail looks fantastic.

Yes, I have a friend at work who is from China and I recognize this symbol. She told me that they all have this hanging in their house for good luck. This mama and baby panda are adorable. and I love the bamboo theme of the card. Fabulous!
