These are very much not Jen colors, so this is a not Jen card. Although I did squeeze a decent pun on the inside âHave a Fan-tastic Day!â
I was so stumped by these colors, but I figured I had some pretty good DP to use with them. Which led me to my next TLC challengeâTLC87 Fantastic Fans. I donât make a lot of generic cards, so I had been putting this one off. But, hey, why not throw together a generic birthday card for my stash and the TLC87 gallery was really pretty when I browsed through. I pulled out some perfect DP to cut the actual fan and I noticed that the fans that I liked the best were matted on some solid paper. I was too lazy to do that, so I edged the pieces with marker. Then I used a stamp from one of my next unused stamp sets - Wow Flowers for the bottom of the fan. I chose some kraft with white polka dots for the background for desert and to get the seafoam color in, I had some DP with stripes that looked like the right color but it was baby paper with teddy bears on it. I cut a small strip with no bears for the bottom of the card. It needed something else, so I cut some twine and made a little bow for the bottom of the fan. And actually got out some beads to put on the twine. Then it still needed something, so I added some white enamel accents. Iâm OK with this card even thought itâs not me. Quite the challenge, Karen!

I think you nailed it!! I love the dp for the fan, and all those enamel domes are wonderful, mf!

It just shows how imaginative and creative you are Jen, to come up with this clever design, including beads on the twine, and a wonderful layout! The fan is very cool! Glad you decided to push on through and play along!
