Another weekend of making "same but different" cards. This time around it is anniversary cards. I decided to use this cute conversation heart die from Lawn Fawn as my focal image. I purchased this before Valentines day but never got around to using until now.
Cut panel of Bazzill Diamond Bling cardstock, just slightly smaller than card base. Debossed using MFT In&Out Stitched Squares dienamics.
Die cut patterned paper using MFT In&Out Stitched Squares dienamics. I also had a square of diamond leftover from another project. I used a Copic marker to color the edge to match the pattered paper.
Die cut heart 3 times - once from the DSP and twice from the black Bazzill. Die cut just the XOXO twice from scrap in my stash. Layered patterned paper to the extra layer. Used the inlay technique to inlay my heart and XOXO.
Created a narrow black frame using MFT In&Out Stitched Square dies.
Cut filler layer for behind diamond Bazzill panel to create dimension. Assembled card.
Best thing about both these cards? All the focal image stuff was made with leftover scraps from my scrap boxes.
I love how, by changing up just a few details I was able to get 2 completely different looks. I am almost out of scraps of this patterned paper - will so miss it as it hasn't been sold for years. I have truly horded all scraps from it because I love the rich look it adds to any card.
Entering this in the CAS challenge for this week - cards without coloring.
