I managed to track down a copy of Mervyn Peake's Letters from a Lost Uncle for my nephew's birthday, so needed to make an appropriate Arctic themed card to send with it. Stamped and masked the background. Sponged in the sky in a northern lights effect and spattered with white paint. Extended the ice line where needed and coloured it with Twinkling H2Os after stamping the igloo, penguin and walrus. Coloured the image, added SN clear glitter to the igloo for shine, and edged the snowy part with Snow-tex. Added a birthday sentiment, and to add a little more interest to the sky, a swirl of golden stars. Luckily they mostly stayed in the die after cutting, so I was able to dot glue onto the back of them, lay the die on the card and then use a very fine stylus to press them all out so that they stuck to the card.

That Northern lights bg sure turned out beautifully, Sabrina, and the swirl of gold stars is fantastic. The colors of the snow are so pretty and the arctic critters are adorable. Wonderful winter card.

This is fantastic. I love everything about it! Especially the northern lights. But those stars? Die cut? You wouldn't ever catch me dealing with something like that. You have far more patience or maybe confidence than I.

Awesome, Sabrina. I love your Northern Lights. I see we used the same stars this week. But, mine are cut out and I used a watercolored background to the color part of them.
