This card was made as a Design Team card for Watercooler Wednesday's WWC222 - Helen's "All About Occasions" Challenge.
France Martin has a couple of terrific video tutorials on making a chicken coop (https://frenchiestamps.com/2017/01/c...ey-chick.html), so I modified it to create a rooster and baby chick Father's Day card, as well as cut a rectangular window in the door so the rooster could look out. The sizes of nine (9) panels that were used to build the chicken coop are found on Frenchie's blog.
Recipe for the card are listed at the end of this page. The major differences between my card and Frenchie's are that I created a dad/son inside cover behind the coop door, and added a "chickenwire" layer over the front of the coop entrance using a digitally cut out chicken wire layer I created using Stampin' Up! (SU) Smokey Slate cardstock.
I'll warn you that this card takes about an hour (or more) to make, but it is a super cute non-traditional Father's Day card! I would rate the difficulty level of this card at a "4" out of a possible "5" just because of all the precise cuts that need to be made.
