This is for the Sketch Challenge that I am hosting this week and the Crafters of Faith Challenge for the month of May hosted by Liz. The COF challenge is to use the Faux Pressed Flower technique to go with the Bible verse Liz selected - 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.
I had wanted to try this technique so I was glad for the challenge. First, I stamped the flowering branch. I carefully applied the glue stick over the entire back of each flower, and then I placed each flower onto the image and pressed down a little. Then I glued on the paper bow and I finished smoothing everything down with an acrylic block. I ran the panel through my Big Shot with the Square Lattice EF. I trimmed the panel down for this card, and layered with DSP. I stamped a verse that I thought complimented the theme of Liz's chosen verse.
Terrific technique that I will try again. I look forward to seeing what you create with the sketch.
Thanks for looking!

Great card! I like that faux pressed flower technique. I have done it a few times. I like this card using it in a smaller area. The technique reminds me of flowers appliqued on a quilt.

Love your card!! That verse is a perfect compliment to Liz's choice fcor scripture this month. I love that you added a paper bow before embossing your flower panel, and the pearls are the perfect finishing touch!
