Chris picked colors this week that were perfect for a floral card. I just received my pre-order from SU so I decided to mix this new set with two of my all time favorite retired stamp sets. I heat embossed the flowers in gold and used an aqua painter and the re-inkers to loosely color the flowers. Then I die cut them. On a panel of the shimmer white I embossed the sentiment and then made a wash with the Crushed Curry. I let it dry, but not completely so when I stamped the honeycomb pattern in green it bled just slightly. I used a heat gun to dry it completely then stamped with the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge. I got my dessert in by stamping the top with the stripes! To finish it off I used sequins and some gold cord.
I'm posting another card that I made for a different color challenge where the hostess picked almost the exact same colors! So I created a CAS version of this card using those colors.

How beautiful, Jeanne! I can't wait to get my hands on the new SU catalog, and this card makes me even more eager. The flowers are beautiful, and I love the sentiment. I also love how you used a couple of the older stamps with the new one. Great coloring, great layout. Just beautiful!
