Congratulations to the IC! #700. My favorite challenge, oops, did I say that out loud?!!! And thank you up front to the IC hosteseess through the years. I did a search back in my gallery to the very first IC I played. It was from December 29, 2008. IC108 But I'm not ready I was fussy cutting back then too.
Now on to the IC700...what a marvelous site! Quora. I peeked at the photos last night, but I needed to sleep on it. Gorgeous, eye popping colour!
How would I ever be able to choose just one of those glorious colors? Of course, my answer was right in front of me as I opened the doors to my studio this morning. My eyes landed on these two Wordsworth Stamps. I'd do a rainbow and use a William Wordsworth quote. And so that's what I bring to the IC gallery today.
I used Tim Holtz distress markers directly to my rubber Rainbow Swoosh stamp. I misted my Mixed Media paper and then stamped. The quote was inked with VersaFine 'Onyx Black' and embossed in ep 'detail'. I dry embossed the heart and used a tiny cross (vintage German Scrap that was embossed with mixed media powder in 'Bone')
I chose the off kilter layout to convey a lightness of spirit. After seeing this complete, I am going to have to challenge myself to do one of each color. It you haven't ever read 'The Meaning Behind the Rainbow' I am linking it here.
Can't wait to see what inspired you for this big IC. Thanks for your thoughts.

Wonderful rainbow of colors and I love the little cross you used. Wonderful sentiment, too, and good use of the Washi tape.

How lovely, Susan! I adore your fab rainbow. And it was the perfect way to go. Did I ever mention I actually saw the beginning point of a rainbow one time? I couldn't breathe for a few seconds. I was sitting in my car at a light, after a rain & looked over into the field beside me. There it was! Magnificent.
