You may wonder why my dog is a hero! Before I adopted her from Wake County SPCA, she had gone to three other homes, and they each returned her saying she was too laid back! This morning after reading the challenge, I received an email from the SPCA saying they were fund raising. And they wanted pictures of an animal that was adopted or had recently died. Well, I immediately thought of my rescue dog! She is my best friend, and just a joy to have with me. She has a big pillow in my studio a matter of feet from my chair so she can snooze. She also has two other places to sleep in the house. I love her so much and would never return her! She is well behaved, doesnât bark, and gets so excited when she sees me start to get ready each day as she loves to go bye bye. She waits in the car and knows I will be out of a store shortly. I could never return her and now that I have had her for over a year, she knows I would never return her .......my daughter bought her the tie for my St. Pattyâs party, and Abby was a perfect dog with twenty people in the house eating and drinking. So this is why she is my hero!

Who on earth would return a dog for being too laid back? That's crazy talk. Sure sounds like the perfect dog to me and this is a wonderful tribute to her :0)
