Great great sketch this week - thanks so much, Cathy!!!
Having been out of town most of the week and weekend, I didn't think I'd be participating in this week's sketch... until I had an idea pop in my head on the way home from work last night.
But sometimes the execution isn't quite what the vision was... or far from it, and guys, I felt bad for even posting this! But I *hope* I can do some tweaking on it to make it more appealing, and if I accomplish that, I'll be sure to fix this gallery post with a photograph of the updated version.
Hard to tell from the photograph (the lighting is treacherous after dark, isn't it?!), but I added a glitter dusting to random hearts on the main heart image with my Wink of Stella brush pen, as well as the "Mother's" part of the sentiment below. The Night of Navy, sentiment, and heart panels are all popped up with foam mounting tape.
Now, my whining aside, I hope you all will join us in the Sketch Challenge form today and play along with this fun sketch! The rest of the design team came up with some GORGEOUS samples for you to drool over!
Blessings,
C

Elegant Mother's Day card with the silver cardstock and the embellishments. I love the heart. Wonderful sample card for the Sketch Challenge, Chrissy. TFS

I know exactly what you mean when a card doesn’t actually look like it did in your head and I hate when that happens! I find that the better idea I have about a card in my head the less I like it. I think this is elegant and lovely. I love the sparkly hearts and the sequins!

Loved reading your post. I can totally relate. This is very pretty and elegant using the silver, navy and pink. That is a great sentiment stamp and balances out your card very well!
