I printed a small piece of background hydrangeas and printed a digi large blossom of hydrangea. I edged the print with a black outline and then a small edge of a Mossy meadow mat. The blossom was water colored with two colors of green and two colors of blue. I mounted it on dimensionals and added a silver doily behind it to separate it from the background print.

How I wish my hydrangeas were as blue as the ones in the picture! So very pretty. Love the addition of the little doily which frames the flower nicely.

That is beautiful, the printed background looks great with the black edging and then the green matting. The single flower head is beautiful...I'm glad you mentioned the doily is silver, I thought gold. What a lovely clean design.

This is gorgeous Pat...what a cool idea to use a photo print as the bg and then pop a colored hydrangea on top. The silver doily is perfect for a layering element.

What a beautiful card! I love your card design with the expanse of white around your great background and gorgeous hydrangea mop head. Your colouring is divine and looks beautiful against the silver doily!

How pretty Pat! I would not even now where to begin to do what you did here, but it is so striking! I love how you made a 3D hydreangea to stand out "from the crowd" of your background paper. The doily is a wonderful touch too. What a fantastic card to send to Amanda. ~Karen.
