Color Challenge hosted by Stef - Balmy Costal Tide with leaves as dessert
Teapotters Challenge hosted by Polly - Hug-a-thon for Melanie who loves blue, hydrangeas, is in need of encouragement and religious cards are welcomed.
When I saw the Teapotters Challenge, I immediately thought of this hydrangea die-cut set. When I saw the Color Challenge and the dessert, it was meant to be. In Tranquil Tide, I could only find this ONE strip of cardstock. I did not have too much to begin with, but where did it all go? Fortunately, the verse stamp fit perfectly. It is wood-mounted, so I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to position it just right and used VersaMark ink to heat emboss in white. I wanted to layer two die-cuts of the hydrangea blooms. I stamped the flower and die-cut. For the bottom layer, I stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in Iridescent Ice. It made the color a little darker and gave it wonderful sparkle. It is so sparkly IRL. The top blooms were glued down only in the middle; along the sides it curves up for added dimension. The stem and leaves are die-cut in Costal Cabana. I added Costal & silver sequins and a Tranquil bitty bow. Everything is on a Confetti White card base. For the Teapotters Challenge- my favorite embellishment is a bow.

That is a really cute bow on your pretty, blue hydrangea. And, I love the verse for Amanda.

Ooh, this is a gorgeous hydrangea! I love your use of the colors. The white embossed scripture really pops on that TT strip and I can imagine the beautiful shimmer!

Oh, I'm so glad to see that die-cut hydrangea getting an outing today, of course it's perfect both for the colour and for the TPT. The little note is sweet, and that's certainly an encouraging verse.

Diane, may I say Amen to your scripture choice? How true. Your die cut blossom has so much hydrangea personality! I especially like the darker hue as the base for your scripture.
I had a beloved grandma like friend when I was in my 20's and she 80's. Her name was Mrs Perkins, but everyone called her Perky. Well, Perky would often tell me to lay my troubles at the feet of Jesus. Susan, just make sure you don't pick them back up as you go!
