There are some really beautiful photos on todayâs Inspiration Challenge site! After much consideration, I chose THIS picture for my inspiration. It reminded me of this 2 step watercolor image I had & also because I actually have some photos of that same tree. We visited there a while back & it was a little sad to hear that part of that tree was damaged in a storm recently.
My card is pretty simple..I scribbled some water based Tombow Markers onto the solid ground part of the image, misted & stamped onto a textured watercolor paper. I did the same to the tree & little grasses. I used my Misti to stamp each of these several times so I could get a good variance of color on the images. Then I added a couple of frames w/ ovals die cut out of the center & four die cut photo corners.
Thanks so much for looking. Closeups & marker colors are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Beautiful card, Julie, and that is sad about the tree being damaged. It makes one sad to see such beauty damaged. Wonderful watercolor.

Beautiful card pretty water coloring and lovely tree image, the tree was damaged by a storm that's sad to hear but it's natural, better to hear this than when someone put them in fire or cut them down!!

The texture of your water colour paper works wonderfully with the style of your image! Gorgeously coloured - thanks for the reminder of that technique. I used to use it fairly often but seem to have forgotten about it. You have framed your image perfectly to really bring out its beauty! Lovely card!
