I've made a couple cards this week that just weren't Jen cards. They were fun to make, but they just didn't feel quite right. And I've realized that a card without coloring a cute image, a funny joke, and doodling just isn't a Jen card. This one has all of those things! My only regret is that I shouldn't have sponged over the sentiment. It would have stod out better without an inky pattern behind it. I may end up printing it out again and covering this one up.
Cathy's challenge had me stumped for a bit because Anne just used the best egg joke yesterday! LOL! But, I needed a second 40th birthday card for my friend, Chris. This is because my other friend, Liz, gave me her robot vacuum because it didn't get along with her cat and I promised her a lifetime supply of cards in exchange. So she needs a card for Chris. She can have yesterday's. This one is mine.
I've combined Cathy's egg challenge with Melissa's "Travel With the Doctor" challenge to use two or more people or animals and blue.
I wanted a chicken wire background, but I don't have a chicken wire stamp or EF. So I stenciled a honeycomb first and then googled tips on how to draw chicken wire. This was a fun background to make! Then all I had to do was stamp, color, and cut the chickens and egg. I didn't want them just floating in the air, so I colored them a farmy ground.

Oh, that's such a fun card! A lifetime supply of cards - that's a generous exchange. It's fun watching those things scoot around. You did a fantastic DIY job on the chickenwire, I couldn't believe it wasn't a stamp.

All of your creations are great, but I do like your colorful, witty themes to most of them. It is your signature that is fun to look for.

Fabulous sentiment that had me smiling! Love your chickens and the little "walking egg". Very innovative way to create the chicken wire background and bring in the blue for the challenge.
