APR19VSNA: for Kim's VSN challenge to start us off, we are to be inspired by something on Trip Advisor's site which is filled with so much inspiration! After a comment from Kim, I settled on this photo: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attracti...7&ff=379143893 as Paris has a special place in my heart because my hubby proposed there.
I pulled out a sketch challenge from several weeks ago that I didn't have a chance to particpate in, and went to work.
I was happy to use a couple of pieces from my stash. The oval is die cut from a shaving cream background that I had and the embossed panel was gifted to me.
I used the medallion stamp from Artistic Etchings in lieu of the trees in the image - unfortunately, it got away from my block resulting in some stamping on the gray ground. Oh well!
I heat embossed the sentiment and popped it up.
Thanks, Kim, for the fun challenge!
Thanks for looking!

Catherine, this is fantastic! I love how yo used the medallion for the trees, framing the Eiffel Tower! Wonderful use of texture, too. This card is lovely, and I think it is wonderful you could make one inspired by a very special memory!

Oh wow Catherine! This is so lovely and looks like Paris in the spring which I love of course. The way you made these trees really is a scene stealer Catherine and sets the stage for this entire card which is wonderful. I swooned a bit when I read that your DH proposed to you in Paris- that is very romantic indeed. ~Karen.
