F4A476 = Creative Cuts - do something interesting with your die cuts - I chose to do the Encrusted Jewels Technique with my die cut dove.
CCC19APR = optional theme of Peace on Earth
If you're not familiar with the encrusted jewels technique, here's the method:
Die cut your piece using light chipboard. In an old griddle pan or the Tim Holtz melting pot, layer a piece of teflon crafting mat, then a piece of parchment paper, and then the die cut. For mine, I sprinkled on one of the new Seth Apter embossing powders (Fractured Ice), a bit of a Lindy's Desert Blue Turquoise embossing powder, then some shaved ice and glitter. I put the lid on the griddle pan and let it all heat up and melt together, then added a layer of UTEE to seal it all, put the lid back on and let the UTEE melt. I removed it and cooled it. I then die cut the dove out of fun foam and added that to the back to give it more substance and prevent it bending and cracking.
I kept the card very CAS to allow the dove to take centre stage. Just a simple dry embossed background popped up on fun foam, and the dove and a white heat embossed sentiment on black cs layered on top.
