I chose the rose makeup bags that Brenda provided in one of the thumbnails-Thanks Brenda!. I wanted to showcase this gorgeous rose paper but most of it got covered, lol. Oh well! I used the archival ink, so I could color with SU markers. First diecut using the antique frames, but then used deckles scissors and distressing tool. And sponged all edges with DOX old paper which gives a green efffect. tfl

How beautiful and vintage looking, Shirl. I love the verse and how you used your deckle scissors. So long since I got mine out and used them but I still really like them. I can see a good bit of your gorgeous rose paper...noticed it right away. Glad you could use the rose bag thumbnail for inspiration.

Very pretty card with a vintage feel. I love the background rose paper and your beautiful sentiment. Also love the look you achieved with the deckle scissors.

This is absolutely gorgeous Shirl. I love the rose bg paper you chose and how it showcases this gorgeous classic verse. There are so many special touches to this card from the frames you cut, to the gorgeous cutting with the deckle scissors to your flawless sponging and beautiful coloring too. This card is sure to thrill whomever receives this beauty in the mail from you! ~Karen.

This is GORGEOUS!
It is also my favorite verse. I did a cross stitch with this verse, our date of marriage, our names, roses on each border, and a lot of gold metallic threads (so hard to work with). It hangs in a prominent space in ou living room.
