The Friday Free For All Challenge, F4A474 - âIts My Favorite!â - 3/22/19, was to create something using a favorite color combination of 2 or 3 colors.
Without question, my favorite color combo is one with blue and green, and I REALLY love the aqua toned blues and bright pastel greens. So I reached for my 2 new favorites from Stampin Up - Balmy Blue and Granny Apple Green. And because those two colors look good with kraft tan, my favorite neutral, I chose it as my 3rd color.
This card came together quickly once I convinced myself to KiSS - keep it simple, stamper! I opted to dry emboss the front flap of my card base rather than adding a separate layer. Versamark watermark ink added to the inside flap of the folder before dry embossing added a subtle depth to the woodgrain that looks really cool IRL. Sponged the edges of the card front with the Versamark pad for an aged look.
The forest scene was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed with clear detail embossing powder. I used my new cheapie makeup brushes (similar style to Picket Fence Life Changing Brushes), to apply the blue and green ink to the scene after diecutting it. I canât get over how amazing these brushes are for applying ink quickly and without smudges & smears. It took all of 1 minute to color the scene, including the time it took to clean the brushes. Love these brushes and the results they yield with absolutely no talent required!
I finished the card with a sentiment banner and a knot of natural colored twine applied with a glue dot.
Thanks for stopping by and looking at my simple Stay Wild in the Woods card. What is your favorite color combo? Please join us in this fun challenge!

Suzy, what a beautiful scene on your card. The stamped image is wonderful with your favorite colors in the background. The woodgrain embossing is perfect for the scene that is die cut with a great die. Love everything about this gorgeous card, Suzy!

Always learning something from you. Never thought of adding versamark to the ef. It looks so good. Love your image and the way you did the twine, Susy!
