Today's tea party is for crazykim, a teapotter, who has been making sock monkeys instead of cards lately. I've never "met" Kim, but I know we're friends because we're both teapotters. How sweet of her to share her talents with the sick children of New Zealand! I'm so happy to be able to do something nice for her!
Pat has challenged us to use something old on our cards and offered extra cookies for sock monkey stamps. I just made a sock monkey card last week! Can you believe I have two sock monkey images? (courtesy of Bugaboo) I had to edit the blocks so they would line up down the card so it could fit this old sketch that I chose. I also used a very old SU sentiment stamp. Wanted to dig through my scrap stash for DP, but I had to get out a full sheet when I realized that this was the perfect pattern for this card.

Oh my - the knit background is just perfect. And your monkeys are the business, all fun and games. Actually, there's something about them that reminds me of Hobbes - maybe it's how expressive each one of them is. What a delightful card.

Yes, the background paper is perfect! If sock monkeys were really as cute as the ones on this card I would like them. Adorable and perfect for the challenge.
