When I saw this week's Teapotter challenge to use horses, you know I had to participate! But to give it a southwestern flair? Oiy. Not my strong suit! But after tearing this card apart a zillion times and trying again, here's my finished result. In fact, I think the touch that finally had me at least satisfied was adding crystal effects to the two horses most in the foreground... it kind of brought them to life and helped set them apart from the busy background.
Since the Daniel's are artists, I'm sure hoping they'll enjoy what seems like a lot going on here! I hope it brings them some cheer!
Thanks for looking! And THANK YOU for the chance to take my love of horses into the craft room! â¡
Blessings,
C

I knew exactly where this wonderful creation was heading the split second I saw it. Chrissy your card looks amazing and I was so surprised to read that southwestern wasn't your forte. I don't know where to start, the background is a jaw dropper and your horses are magnificent. I hope you can tell how much I love this Chrissy.

The horse images in the forefront are so cool! You had the perfect stamp for this challenge. The bg is kind of amazing, too...very artsy which fits right in with the recipients.

Oh Wow - this is just incredible. Will have to take a few moments to just sit and look at all the colours in that background. Just what you would expect to find in the desert.

Fabulous paper, but the horses are the real winners here. Plus the die-cut border you used underneath them really adds to the feeling of being on a racecourse or standing by a paddock.

You have me going WOW! Chrissy, I love it all! Growing as an artist by stepping into your self-perceived "Not my strong suit" realm is a real tip of the hat to Sandy and Dave. They, too, will truly admire your art and appreciate all the time you put into your wonderful creation for them. Thank you so much for helping them through this hitch-in-their-get-along!
