Finally got a card done for the Make A Scene Teapot Challenge!
This is my first-ever easel card, believe it or not! I've always wanted to make one, & this seemed like the perfect opportunity to give it a try. I watched the video tutorial, & jumped right in!
The base card is made from SU Crumb Cake CS.
I stamped the old barn image three times, first on a square panel of VV, then twice on some scraps of VV. I colored the main image on the square panel with the colored pencils, then colored the bits I needed from the other two images & fussy-cut the barn from one & just the wagon wheel & the barn door from the other. Popped up the fussy-cut barn image with dimensionals on the main image panel, & then popped up the wheel & door on the barn (it doesn't show up very well in my photo--& the card is already in the mail, so I couldn't re-take it!).
I added a square panel of woodgrain PP to the inside bottom of the card, just to dress it up a bit (& maybe look like an old barn floor?) before I added the sentiment piece that props up the easel. TFL!

Your first ever easel! They are fun to make, and at least with Tonda, you can be sure she'll know how to set it up. The big eyelets look super, as does the woodgrain paper. What a lovely barn...classic American to my eyes.

Congratulations on making your first-ever easel card Liz- and a gorgeous card at that! You have colored this wonderful image to the 9's my friend. It is fantastic! I am delighted by all the barn elements you popped up for added dimension to match the dimension of the card base. The twine is a terrific touch along with your fabulous brads and eyelet brads. You finished this card off with a fabulous sentiment Liz. Tonda is going to be so touched by this amazing card! Hugs! ~Karen.
