This is going out to Sandy and Dave who are both artists. Sandy has had heath problems and Dave, her husband has become her caretaker. We were to go with horses or a Southwestern theme. I chose to use some SW colors. I had this bold gelli print in my stash and thought it would be perfect. Of course Frida Kahlo comes to mind when thinking of this style as well and since they are both artists I went with my stamp of her.

Wonderful colours on your artistic card, Polly, love the bg and image of Frida Kahlo! Assume you have read Barbara Kingsolver’s book, “The Lacuna”? One of my fav books ~

Artsy card for the artists, clever idea and love your background with the stitching and the image even if I don't know her, the scalloped circle behind made me think a bit of an Indian style.

Polly, that sounds like a perfect card for Sandy & Dave. Looks as if we were on the same wavelength with the bold prints - but I love the golden warm sunshine feel of yours. Great stitching, too.

I completely agree with this sentiment Polly. Sandy and Dave are going to love getting this bright card in the mail. The colors are perfect for a Southwest themed card. Thank you so much for playing along.
