I went back 10 years ago to find this one, which is one of my favorite "go to" techniques for one layer cards. I love this palm tree. One of my all time favorites from SU and I have always loved my little shape stamps to add color to the background.
Ten years later I used my wonderful Oxide inks that I adore, and I left off the embellishment, as 10 years later the postage is now so high I mail as flat as card as possible.

Beautiful tropical card! Love the colors and collage stamping!
I agree about the postage, I make cards that don’t require extra postage!
Wonderful case! Thanks for playing!

I like the new cleaner take on this card - the raffia was almost overkill on the original since there is already so much going on in the collage. ( and I know what you mean about keeping things flat these days - unless one can hand deliver)

What fun to see this wonderful collage bg card in both color schemes...it looks beautiful both ways. That palm tree image is terrific and I love the little bg stamps. I couldn't agree more about the postage prices.

Both cards are terrific Liz. I often hesitate when I'm about to look at your cards...they usually cost me money LOL, but I have a very similar stamp to this - not that I have ever used it so well.
