IC691 = be inspired by something from the Victoria and Albert Museum website
I chose this mug designed by the wonderful Scottish Arts and Crafts designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh. He was one of the big influences on Frank Lloyd Wright and is well known (more so in the UK) for his early 19th century, furniture, decorative arts, interior decorating, etc. designs. I was lucky to get to see a lot of his work when I was in Glasgow a few years ago.
The mug immediately made me think of a set of stamps I have from Chocolate Baroque, featuring Mackintosh's designs.
I stamped on watercolour paper, coloured with my Gansai Tambi paints, using the colours in my inspiration piece, bordered with black, and popped up on fun foam.
It will be for a friend who also loves Mackintosh - her birthday isn't till November so I hope I don't forget I've got her card made!

Beautiful card, Susan, and good job with your inspiration. We have a Frank Lloyd Wright house in our city.

Not only a fabulous CAS card, Susan, but a little history lesson in your description. In the thumbnail, I saw FLW...but you are correct, he was inspired by the crafts movement and Mackintosh. I, too, saw an exhibit of his work, but no longer remember where.

Oh wow this is so pretty and elegant in its simplicity. You had the perfect stamp for your inspiration....I bet it was fun seeing those Macintosh designs in Glasgow.

This is fabulous, Susan! I love your stained glass image. Frank Lloyd Wright has always been a fave of mine..we even share the same birthday (different year, though, lol).

What a great stamp - love how you've colored it. Years ago when traveling with a friend in Scotland - we went to a Charles Rennie Mackintosh tea house that had furniture and decor in his style.
