About a year ago, Lydia discovered an accidental technique that resulted in a bleed through to the backside, which is the side she asked MIX266 challengers to use for their project. This technique is the basis for my card here. I wasn't satisfied with the results of the technique at the time, but a year later I managed to find a way to bring it to life. The technique side was inked with red Stazon and a stencil I cannot remember that I followed per Lydia's directions for the technique. On the backside I also cannot remember what kind of ink, besides black, that the flowers were stamped with. Fast forward to now, I used Arteza watercolor brush markers to color the image. Using the splatter stamp from French Foliage, I stamped around the flowers inked with Peeled Paint DI and then softened it using a brush and water. It still seemed too stark, so I sponged some white pigment ink over the splatters to reduce the contrast more. This was layered onto 2 color coordinating pattern papers. The vertical paper is vellum that I embossed and inked with white pigment ink and then added perfect pearls. Lastly, the sentiment was stamped in shadow gray archival ink. Please know that I have trimmed the top left edge that shows a small portion of the paper layer beneath. I created this card on Saturday and had all 4 of my grandsons overnight. so I was in a hurry to finish and get a photo in daylight. I will try to update with a new photo when it is daytime.
