I was inspired by this print from the Inspiration Challenge site to work on a gel print that I pulled this morning using eucalyptus-leaves as masks for the 2nd layer. I also used a cardboard tube to make some circles but they weren't very visible in the print (will add a picture of the print to my reply on the challenge thread). My leaves looked like odd shaped circles so I started there with my markers adding veining and defining the edges more. I used a pencil to add shading around them. I used a yellow Gelato to bring the circles into a bit more focus and also used a blue Gelato rubbed around part of the circle for shading and definition. Where there was a brownish tint in the gel print I rubbed on some orange and gold Gelatos. Where there was light blue or no color I added white. Where there was darker blue I emphasized that with a Dark Blue Gelato. I also used this and some dark green along the edges. I laid it on thick here and didn't rub in much so there's some texture too. I used some notepaper to stamp my verse and cut into strips before adhering to my print. My friend is a big fan of my artwork so I will be thrilled to share this for her 70th birthday tomorrow

Awesome card for your friend. It sounds like you really put some work into this creation. Good job with the veining and the cardboard tube. Your friend is sure to love this piece of artwork.

Thank you so very much for this inspiration today! I needed to read this verse. Your art is beautiful. I love the background for the well-placed circles and leaves. Beautiful!
