This was an experiment as I had watched a video using photo paper and DOX inks. So I applied ink to my bkg using a sheet of acetate, sprayed with water and pressed onto my photo paper. I then stamped the feathers and sentiment and let it dry.
At first you are left with a chalky image but then the magic happens. Take a baby wipe and wipe the whole surface and the colours come to life. This only works with the chalky finish the DOX inks give.
Hope you will try it out!

Terrific inspiration for this card. Love the image you used Karen. And of course I love blue and white cards the touches of purple work very well with the blue and white.

Karen, your cards for the last two days have been dynamic AND dramatic.....such a wonderful feeling of movement. The feather bg on this one for today is stunning. A BEAUTIFUL card.

This is a great look to back up those peacock feathers - the technique & results sounds a lot like how I use chalk inks on glossy paper- they too will buff to a high shine after drying to a chalky finish. I had a feather years ago but gave it away cause I NEVER used it - they seem to be quite in vogue again so I may have to invest in anew one . . .
