I made this card for the Alphabet Challenge for the letter X. The X in my card is for Xerus which I found out is an African ground squirrel: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_ground_squirrel. When I was making this card, I forgot this was a ground squirrel so my little fella is in a tree. The squirrel is colored with copic makers. I lightly sponged ink onto the raised portions of the embossing. The circle frame is cut using 2 spellbinder's dies. The top panel and the squirrel are popped up on fun foam. Thanks for looking today. ~Karen.

Ground or tree squirrel, he is so cute and I love the woodgrain background. Just perfect how you put him front and center in a circle.

So cute, Karen! Maybe that tree hole is low on the tree and he is just exploring... who knows? At any rate, your squirrel is adorable and in the perfect setting.

Your little squirrel looking fella is so Adorable, Karen! He looks right at home since a slice of a tree can definitely be on the ground, eh! Lovely coloring and great job with the sponging on your embossed panel~

Karen...this is WONDERFUL...love thr rich woodsy colors (or prarie-style coloring where your xerus squirrel lives). What lovely ink-distressed embossing for your bg. Love your peek-a-boo circle with mr. squirrel popping out (beautiful coloring and fussy cutting), And the woodgrain tree ring circlr bg is my pièce de résistance...just love how much it adds to the overall look of the card. To my FAVs for sure!
