I am participating in the Make-A-Thing-A-Day February group on fb and this is the halfway point and I have managed to get something made each day. My husband asked me to do something with this verse and since he saves his Chemex coffee filters for me since he knows me so well, it only seemed right to use one. I added lines around the coffee staining with my marker then activated the ink. Unfortunately I did this after using a water soluble marker for my verse too and I lost a bunch of the writing. So I just activated all that ink with my waterbrush. After drying it put I added writing back in and am a little disappointed with it as it is so dark. I tried to use another silver pen (couldn't get my white going) to accentuate the lettering. I added a bit of glitter pen to the staining as well.

You did an excellent job of bringing out the words--which are of course very important, such comforting, uplifting words from the Word... I love this technique, it is really stunning. I am a little confused (sorry) about where the coffee filters come in--did you use those for the top layer of your card or were they used in another way. Thanks for your help with this!
Blessings on this valentine's day and I hope that you and your husband have an enjoyable day together. He sounds like he's very supportive of your card-making which is great.
