My aim is to use up all the images that I coloured whilst sick in bed. It's not how I create, and I find it very hard to use them up afterwards, but it's certainly something to do to pass the time. Pure coincidence that this one has ended up fitting Toni's Four-Letter Words WT challenge today.
I'd stamped the image on watercolour paper and coloured with Polychromos pencils. Today I added some SN clear glitter pen to the dandelion head, but it doesn't really show. Big thanks to Susie for her idea of reversing the centre step so that the main panel is stepped back. I embossed the side strips and sanded them with the block I use for sanded pencil backgrounds, so that added colour easily to my dandelions. Lawn Fawn meadow borders cut from two different colours. The butterflies were on my desk, left from Monday's card. I used ODBD dies to cut the little flowers from a scrap with blue lace stamped on it, and used Stickles for the centres.

Your cards are always an oasis for me...this one sure takes me away from the mounds of snow outside my door and makes me think of spring! Such a darling image and the reverse step is like having it in a little stage. Cute!

This is just sunshine and happiness in a card, love it! I need to try coloring in bed because I do spend a good amount of time there due to pain issues and I think I need to try at least coloring with pencils here--thank you! All of the little details that you have added to the already sweet colored focal image really give this card such personality! I love the frame edges that add balance and to sand these adds another texture. Your grass and little flowers really ground your image--I need a grass die and some little flowers--note to self! As always, your cards bring joy and I love seeing your artwork here.
I have just finished a huge (for me, at least) set of 42 hand-stitched cards for my Mom plus about 10-12 more for me and am in the process of stitching some more to have on hand before I get back to other types of card-making, this has been approximately a 16-month project but one I have wanted to do for years, my Mom is a master cross-stitcher and I wanted to make cards that she would enjoy giving to her crafty friends as well as to others and I gave them to her recently when I was visiting in eastern Canada, definitely a labor of love. So, it's my goal to be uploading and creating much more regularly although I have a huge project of totally reorganizing and clearing out my crafts supply to make it all fit in my small condo-sized crafting room.
You are always such a kind encourager of my cards and I wanted to say thank you as well as leaving a comment for this wonderful, whimsical card, I absolutely LOVE IT!!! Into my favorites it goes.

Oh, so cute. Love the center panel of the wishing mouse blowing on the dandelion. Glad he's not doing that here......we have enough dandys.......they're all under more snow now.

Sabrina- what a delightful scene you have created with that mouse and dandelion. Your pop out panel of grass and flowers and your sentiment make for a sweet springtime themed card

Oh My Gosh! I love this! What a fantastic idea to reverse the step card, really makes the card pop.
Such a sweet little scene, a breath of spring with so many of us under all of this snow.
