Great sketch this week! This is also for this week's tea party - Get Your Cray On!
The bg is done using a crayon & an attempt at the Crayon Rubbed Embossing. Okay, so you cannot see the embossing, but I still liked the look of it & it has been done using a crayon! I just love this fun digi image and thought it went so well with the burgundy c/s which I have had for eons. I did some faux stitching on one of the banners. TFL!

That crayon embossing is hard to see (I tried it but gave up and used watercolor crayons instead...) I bet it looks good with your main image and banners. That's a really cute image..he looks very carefree! Great choice of dp for a guy ;)

Charming digi of what looks like a French baker, Sue. The warm colors of your digi and created bg look fabulous with the burgundy color. A delightful card.

Fabulous chef, super use of the sketch. Sue, I can't tell you how many times I tried and failed with that technique. I bought two or three different open stock white crayons and two different packs. And I didn't have much luck with any of them. I don't think any of those ended up being worth making a card from, unlike your background which is absolutely perfect with the image.

You should try it again with another color crayon if you didn't get a good result with white I made one with a black crayon and that looks great too, but about your card now, nothing is wrong here because it is a lovely background and I love the French cook with "la baguette"!!
