I combined today's challenges in one card. Still kind of cold to stamp in my basement. My poor mailman! I put mail out this morning, it was still there after dark. I thought maybe they cancelled mail again (haven't had much all week), no, there he is delivering mail in the dark. He said it's been awful. Tomorrow will be a long day too for him.
Back to the card...I love this technique for the background. The white over the reinker mixture is the key, it softens the whole thing. For the F4A, we had to use something that we bought but hoped we might use 'someday.' I haven't had these felt stickers long but really wasn't sure if i would use them. And I thought there were branches in the package, but there weren't, just a picture of branches. I questioned why I spent the money on them because they weren't a cheap Michael's purchase. But I absolutely love them on this gouache background. I had a branch die, hardly used, so that was good too. 'No winter lasts forever; no spring skips its turn.' ~Hal Borland. Seemed like a good day to use this sentiment. Of course, if our winter is anything like last winter, we could have three more months of snow. Yikes.

Love the title....hehehe....are you sure this winter won't last forever? Guess we'll have to see what the groundhog sees tomorrow. Pretty card..love your bg. It took me a couple of times to understand about your felt stickers and the "picture" of branches...my mind must be sort of frozen...

Oh, your forsythia branch is just perfect against that beautiful background! I can't wait until the forsythia blooms, even though I know there's still a long wait. Wonderful quote.

This is just beautiful! I feel for your mailman. Tell him someone sent some warm aloha from the Big Island of Hawai'i to him and said "Mahalo for your hard work!" He and all the delivery workers are so appreciated!

You have been so busy this week, but THIS is my favorite! The gouache background is fabulous...I really do need to try it! Your branches and bitty felt pale yellow flowers are perfect for this background and just pop. Your sentiment is GREAT...and so perfect with your card theme!
