I'm so pleased to help out with today's teapot challenge: If You Build It..... Our focus today is building, architecture and specifically, Frank Lloyd Wright. FLW was a native son of Wisconsin, born in 1867, died in 1959. He was a pioneer of what became known as the Prairie School movement and later, the Usonian home. He also designed furniture and stained glass for his homes. He is best known for Falling Water in Pennsylvania, the Guggenheim Museum in NYC, Johnson Wax in Racine, WI and Taliesin in Spring Green, WI. I have seen several of his structures, including Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Milwaukee.
I focused on his stained glass work for this creation, specifically this window:https://www.pinterest.com/pin/AfOjaO...KyqGQY1BUX62I/
I am not sure what house this window is in; I love the mostly clear glass and the tree visible through it. I did a simple version of this Prairie style window, using acetate, sticky tape, metallic cs and alcohol ink. I watercolored the trees outside the window and doodled the birches. I agree wholeheartedly with my computer generated sentiment. I could go on and on about this giant of American architecture; I'll be back with more later.

You really captured the spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright here in the most fantastic way. I am super impressed with this card and the sentiments you used around the card. ~Karen.

What a great window and lovely view through it. Given that it's obviously a window, I don't know why it reminds me so much of a very old wooden floor we saw in a castle in France somewhere. I think it's the dark wood and the irregularity of it.
I guess there are aot of similarities between FLW and William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement in the UK.
