I wanted to work out metric options and DH wanted a card for his brother's 60th birthday. I gave up making him cards a few years ago but made this for DH' sake; it's gonna be the last card he gets from me!
I used dark green card and some retired papers from LOTV, adding some paper-pieced images and some design elements stamped directly onto the dp. The sentiment over the pile of books is heat-embossed. You can see the front of the card as an attachment in the first post of the challenge thread. The "It's .... o'clock" is the sentiment from a Serendipity image which I carefully snipped apart.

Hi Sabrina! I needed to put this into my favorites because I am so in love with the way you've used a variety of images and sentiments in ways I never would have thought of. Great card!

The matching printed papers are RICH with possibilities. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. The book theme is very appealing to me as well. And a rabbit reading Watership Down--super cute.

I LOVE this !! The whole concept is just adorable. The different papers make me think of the wallpapers that changed from room to room in my grandmothers house. and we "of a certain age" are much more likely to pick up a REAL book to read instead of a Kindle.

Hopefully, your BIL appreciates all the work you put into this fabulous 60th birthday card for him. I love this card design and how you make the most of each section too. Fun! My family and in-laws do not like my homemade cards at all- it is a put down to them. So, they no longer get cards from me either. So good for you for taking a stand! ~Karen.
