Hello there, and thank you for visiting my gallery! My name is Denise, and I am a Midwestern girl, copy editor, Jazzercise instructor, and a cardmaker on the side!
This card uses a few heat-embossed images I had left over from another card. For the background, I took a stencil from Hero Arts and pressed my Distress Oxide Ink pad on it until the stencil was covered in ink. I sprayed the stencil a few times with water. Then I pressed my black cardstock onto the stencil to transfer the Oxide ink to the paper. The Oxide ink with water created a cool watercolor effect on the black paper. I just heat-embossed a sentiment in white and added a few images to the center of the card with the Lawn Fawn glue tube. I glued the black piece flat to a fog-colored card base. Simple!

Fun card! The dreamy, foggy look of the star & moon background is the perfect backdrop for that sweet embossed image of the boy fishing for stars. Delightful!
Thanks for sharing how you made it with Distress Oxide ink, I can’t wait to give this a try.
I see this is your 1st upload. Nicely done and welcome to SCS!!!!
