I visited "my ladies" yesterday. They were SO excited to use the chalks and GLITTER!!! I may have to bring glitter on every visit now!
They were so cute--so proud of the cards they made and tickled to death to have them sparkle "just like store-bought cards!!!"
The one lady who initially never wanted to stamp with me has come 2x in a row now. This time, she actually stamped a card (instead of the grid paper). When I told her what a lovely job she did, she just BEAMED!!! -- "You really think so?" Yes, indeed, she did a great job!!!
The director forgot to list me coming on their activity schedule, but the second I walked in the door, the lady who is hard-of-hearing, jumped up off the bench where she was waiting to go shopping and rushed to get her spot at the table and told the bus-driver she'd go shopping later!!! chuckle!
The lady who suffers memory loss, whose father was a printer, was pleased with her first card, but not so happy with her 2nd, and considered it a poor job. She told me that it would be a good one to send to anybody she might be irritated with. She had me roaring over that one, cuz she's so SWEET that this caught me off guard!!!
It is also fun to hear them compliment each other on their variations--"Oooh, you got that centered perfectly!" "Oh, you chose different colors--I like that combination!"
It moves me greatly how such a small gesture and a little bit of time, means so very much to these ladies. And, I feel compelled to share the sunshine they give me on every visit with you all. It just radiates out from them and rocks my world!

You have made my day! I loved reading about "your ladies" before, and this update is just wonderful. You are clearly a real bright spot in their lives. I always love your beautiful cards, and these are no exception, because you certainly are one talented gal! And the fact that you share your talent and creativity in such a loving, generous way is so wonderful. I sure hope that when I reach my "twilight years", there is someone like you around to make me as happy as you obviously make them!
Thanks so much for sharing your great adventures with your ladies. I look forward to hearing more- please keep posting updates!!
God Bless you for your generosity and kindness!

I really enjoy hearing about your visits with these ladies. I hope to be able to spend some time doing that sort of thing when my kiddos are a bit older. It was fun to see what my grandma would make at her assisted living place and I know that they LOVE it when people come to see them and dote on them for awhile
