I solemnly vow that, at least three times a week, if not more, I will reach my hand into my big bin of dp scraps, I will not look and I will pull out a piece that I will use as fully as possible, leaving only enough to maybe decorate the inside and then TOSS! My bin is in the basement, I hope I don't find a dead critter in there.
I needed a funeral card yesterday, no card was to be had. so that's what I made. After I pulled out this 8 inch piece of SU dp, I remembered that I had the stamp set that sort of matches it. That also has not seen much ink. I hadn't mounted all the stamps, they were wood mount but you had to peel paper off (stamps were already cut to size). Man, I had a terrible time getting the paper off the sticky side. Sigh, Jean. I think this card is suitable for any kind of funeral. Colors are strong and there were plenty of flowers at that funeral yesterday. I also hadn't used the label dies in a long time.

Jean, this is such a wonderful sympathy card and your papers are so pretty. I like your gold embossed sentiment and that wonderful gold cord. I am guilty of pulling out a complete sheet of paper instead of getting into my scraps, also. I need to stop that!!!

Love what you created with your 2 DPs here. A lovely sympathy card. Thank many of us have stacks of unused DP.....just judging from many cards in today's gallery. You're not alone. : )

First, you cracked me up with your resolution description, especially reaching into the bin. I'd be worried I'd find a spider! That is one creative way to use your stash.
Your card is lovely, Jean. The layered panels and labels and gold thread are beautiful together.

Use and then toss, that's a good one. My problem is while I do use, I tend to put ridiculously small bits back again. I might try this myself - I almost never start with DP as my jumping off point. I like the combination of stamping and DP, and the gold cord is a lovely finishing detail.

I love this amazing paper and what a fantastic goal. Now I am rethinking that I might need to add to my goal. This card is gorgeous and the paper is terrific. Good luck in your goal this year, you are off to a great start with this gorgeous card.
