ABC10B20: I am entering this in the Alphabet challenge letter B for blooms and I have two buds on it for the double challenge.
MIX310 was the layer a day challenge. This is so far out of my comfort zone! We started with a crackle layer. I don't have crackle paste so I used the glue and acrylic paint technique (including putting it on top of our wood stove to get more cracks in the background) for my crackle layer.
Next was washi tape and text paper. I chose to stamp a background text stamp on tissue paper and use that along with my sparkly washi tape.
Adding color I stenciled with acrylic paint through various stencils and also stenciled some texture paste on here and there adding gold watercolor paint to the texture paste after it dried.
I added shadow in places though it doesn't really show up. Adding doodling with a black liner pen and white gel pen.
I stamped and die cut my bloom cluster and some pieces are popped up with dimensionals. Gold pen is added to the flower centers.
My family wasn't sure about this background through the journey (neither was I!) but they like the final card.
Thanks for this fun challenge, Ky, it really took me out of my comfort zone.
Thanks for looking!

I really like all the texture you have here - and the sparkly tape. The script looks fabulous - looks as if we both chose the tissue paper route! I preferred it for the softer look . Great colours, too!

This came out beautifully, Catherine! Looks like we were on the same wave length with a garden theme and purple flowers Nice crackle and stenciling, love the honeycomb pattern.

Wow, Catherine you did an amazing work of art! What a fun mix challenge. I wish I could have attempted it, next time. Great result in the end! I love that large lavender flower. You'll have to do this more often!
