Happy New Year.... I made this card for the Colour challenge CC720, so saffron, blackberry bliss and Bermuda bay. I used the closest colours I had. Image is from Summer by the Sea ( I absolutely love this stamp set). Sentiment is from Elements of Style.
Image was stamped with memento black ink and coloured with copic markers. I water coloured the water, mountains and sky using stampin up - bashful blue, going grey and soft sky. Drew in the birds. Cut out the purple scalloped mat for the image. Adhered and sewed around edges. Sentiment was stamped with black in and coloured over top with turquoise copic. Matted with purple card stock. I made the striped dp using a variety of different papers. Each strip is 1/2" wide. I scored the white rectangle every 1/2 inch to give it some texture. Matted dp panel with purple. Sewed around edges. Assembled card. Finished the inside.
Thanks for looking.
Hugs, Pat

It's so nice to see you and your card in the gallery today Patricia Rose!! Your card is stunning!! I love the dp and your nicely colored woman in the boat. The sentiment is a good one too. Life is a matter of moments, not the whole thing.

Oh, my goodness, how beautiful! Your coloring is amazing, but you didn't stop there! The diagonal strips of DS paper are wonderful, and I love how you carried the diagonal along with the score mark on the lower half. All the scallops, all the layers, just wonderful! Wow! I love this!
