Today I decided to do what I wasn't up to doing yesterday!! I should have put some sleeves on this poor girl though. She is at a party and it's cold!! She is a bit sad (#1 I don't draw well and #2 I think she missed the magic moment!). I paper pieced her dress and then colored and cut her out. I made a bg with misted water color paper and drops of liquid Color Burst then spritzed again with shimmer. I did paper towel the whole thing to make it less intense and help it dry faster LOL! I glittered the bg as well as sponge some Vintage Photo Oxide on the edges. I got the idea for this doll from this dress.
Thanks for looking!

goodness, Robin...your doll is plaid-tac-ular! I especially like the background...you achieved so much depth with the drops and paper towels...I love the boots and the ruffle for a hint of femininity. Thanks for playing in the IC this week.

Robin, I love this! I love the plaid dress! I see so many Christmas party dresses without sleeves and I always wonder how ladies go to parties in December in a sleeveless dress! I think your party goer fits in very well with all the dresses I see in the store! She is gorgeous!

Oh wow mate, this is so special. My first thought was yippee yahoo...Julie Nutting dolls finally have faces....then my jaw hit the floor when I discovered you drew here eyes and lips....just after I got myself up off the floor, I fell right back down on reading that you don't draw well. Mate that's like saying Elvis doesn't sing well. Everything about this is brilliant my sweet sistah from anudder mudder.
