I made this card for this week's Teapot Party. Sabrina is our hostess and she chose a wonderful theme of "Bridging the Years." This is the first time I have made a gap card and I had so much fun making this that I have made several of them. The top snowflake is made using kromekote paper, sprinkling it with purple color burst powder, spritzing it with water, and setting it aside to dry. When dry, I die cut the snowflake from this piece. The snow flake is layered over a silver mirror snowflake and offset. I did this to hide the sentiment that is stamped on the inside of this card. I had to take a break from stamping in order to deal with some things in life and my creativity took a hike so thank you Sabrina for inspiring me with this week's wonderful challenge! This card also fits the Alphabet Challenge for the letter S for snowflake. ~Karen.

I'm glad you had such fun that you made two! The only fail I ever had was when I used acetate that was too thin and only had one image at an edge to act as a bridge between the two strips of card, otherwise I think it's an easy and fun technique. The layered snowflake looks stunning (hmm, I think I do have some kromekote AND can get it in the UK so it's relatively easy to replace). And the flurries of snow in the edging are beautiful. I hadn't even noticed that stamp in the set!!

WOW you did a great job on this bridge card...it's so pretty! I love how you used the color burst...it looks fab! That snowflake is pretty awesome, too.

Wow, Karen, what gorgeous snowflake die cuts and an outstanding card. It looks wonderful in lavender. So happy to see your creation in the gallery too.
