Finally uploading my VSN cards. This is for Nicole's Olive to the rescue! challenge. She challenged us to turn a mistake into something useful.
I had a series of mistakes with this card. I stamped the deer, then sponged on green and blue ink for sky and ground. The green ink didn't look right and I'd forgotten I was going to add snowflakes. Tried to cover the green with a glitter ep, looked even worse and the snowflakes didn't show Heated it back up and embossed with white EP and stamped and embossed some snowflakes. Next the width of my cut and fold didn't leave enough room for the stamped deer to show. I cut further into the paper, refolded and had an obvious fold line. I adhered twine to the card, covered the fold line and added a rustic touch that works with the deer. I almost tossed this but am pleased with the end result. TFL

You will have to send this card to a special person, given the work you put into it based on your description! I love how you folded the paper back - it feels like pulling back the curtain to watch a snowy scene outside. The twine is wonderful on this card!
