Stacy has given us a huge site to inspire us this week for the Inspiration Challenge! There is so much inspiration on this site I think it will be useful in future to jump-start missing mojo!
At first I found some wood grain paper and added it to the background and used the landscape layout but I didn't like it so I ditched the paper and I really like how it turned out. This set from Picket Fence Studios is a builder set with the option to create cookies or donuts. There are so many little stamps included in this set you just have to see it! Check out my blog post for all the details. The photo has little heart sprinkles on the counter so I stamped the heart trio three times and added them to my white space. To create my plate I was inspired by one I own with little pink flowers around the edge of the plate. I used a circle die to cut out the plate and even though you can't see it I embossed a smaller circle in the center of the plate for an authentic plate look! To finish off the plate, I stamped little pink flowers on the edge. The cookies can be decorated in a variety of ways but since the cookies in the photo are hearts I added the heart frosting. Oh my I am so hungry for a sugar cookie!

This makes me think about what we eat when there's a new born girl in Holland, toasts with pink mice that's their name in Dutch, "beschuit met muisjes" and for a newborn boy they are blue, beautiful and sweet card

Your title is so right, Angie....yummy cookies are always great. I like the little flowers around the plate and you've decorated the cookies so pretty. Love all the little hearts. Sounds like a great stamp set to work with. Adorable card!

i have just discovered Picket Fence and they have some adorable images. your card is so adorable and i hope you are eating some good, homemade cookies this year. i have a friend who has traditionally baked for me and i'm looking forward to her treats. she didn't bake last year because she is now gluten intolerant and has colitis but she is going to oblige us this year with some cookies. i'm so grateful.
