This is for the CAS Challenge hosted by Kia. What do you do for a December birthday? For me: make it easy to mail, use what you got and no holiday colors.
I always like to make birthday cards easy to mail and even more so in December when there is so many cards and packages being mailed out. Since December is a busy month, I like to use cards I have already started from an earlier project or case a card of my own. I try to change it up for the recipient and make sure not to use the traditional Christmas colors. This card was made with leftovers from a Color Challenge card made in February 2017. The butterfly wings are popped up (easily folded down to go in an envelope). I used an embossed panel and a colored card base, but it is still okay on the weight and doesn't need extra postage. Lastly, I added some small silver Nuvo drops.
With supplies already prepared, it was quick to make. Fun and practical challenge. TFL

Great ideas for your December birthday cards. I only have a couple that I send out and they are for guys. But, I've heard the same thing. No Christmas colors. This is a lovely design. I have this set still, too. You've added lots of fun details and still kept it mailable. Great job!

A beautiful fresh looking birthday card! I hear you about easy to mail cards! I have 4 family birthdays in Dec and 4 in January! Love that embossed white background. Makes a great base for almost any colour of embellishment. I particularly like your blues with a splash of purple!
